Real ale, great food served at the Buck Inn, Chop Gate
Helen & Wolfgang extend a warm, friendly welcome at the Buck Inn, Chop Gate on the B1257 between Stokesley & Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park.
Set amidst the rugged splendour of Bilsdale, the Buck Inn offers all the best traditions of an English country tavern.
Great beers, Guinness at its best, real ales - some locally brewed - a range of lagers, spirits and fine wines. Good food from our extensive bar snacks menu or if you prefer our dining area offers a more formal, yet peaceful alternative. And lunchtimes and evenings there's a great choice from our la carte menu and 'specials' board.
In addition to regularly providing overnight accommodation for walkers on the 'Cleveland Way' & 'Coast to Coast' long distance footpaths, our 'Great Get-aways' offer a range of exciting and adventurous mid-week and weekend short breaks - German spoken too!
